The Perseus module for workflow management is a single functional unit which takes up a formalized request at the input from Patology module and at the output submits summary text item which contains the description of the processes which has been made by Laboratory of pathology during the realization of request.

The Perseus module enables both, handsfree operation of the programme and using the touchscreen, which leads to make work easier.

Menu

The default and main control element of the system is the startup screens containing the organized groups of buttons. Pressing a single button activates the move to a specific module or initiates a dialogue action such as User login. Some elements are inactive which depends on access rights configuration for each user.

Common control functions

Most of the system screens are based on the basic design and layout of control and display blocks, with an emphasis on simplicity and clarity. Specific features and procedures are described later in the document for the appropriate modules. A block designed to identify requests or samples, which is done by reading the barcode (or manually entering it) in the "Loaded code" field. The queue of requests appears after clicking on the reader.

Records of requests and samples

A module designed for receiving or creating a new request and primary samples. All the types of samples as well as the number of organs are already recorded in SW Pathology.
